The Surpising Shoebox

It was the weekend before Christmas at 3:30 and I was at my grandma’s house. It was my grandma, my grandpa, my aunt, my dad, my mom, my brother, and me. We were going to eat a short lunch before we opened up presents but I thought it felt like infinity because it was a rather long lunch because everyone ate just the same as a turtle, very slow. Although after that everyone had to catch up with everyone and they had to watch some football because a game was on. Eventually present opening had begun. My brother went first. He teared into the present like a lion with its pray but he opened up a macaroni box and he thought he had got a macaroni box. He was so excited, not really, but inside the box was a year subscription to Xbox live for one year and 4,000 Microsoft points. My aunt opened up her’s next and she got black boots and an owl necklace that my family had gave her. Then it was my turn. The big Kahoka. I had opened up a shoe box and inside was an envelope. That had a card in it. The card had held a $100 bill. It was for the miss me jeans I had wanted but she couldn’t find them. I was so surprised! I hadn’t seen a $100 bill before. I ran up to them and thanked my grandparents for my present. That night I went to sleep so happy with my gift and remember how blessed I was.
